Artist Bio:
TRISH HAPPEL ASSEMBLAGE AND DIORAMA ARTIST
I create self-contained abstract assemblage/dioramas. In found wooden boxes I collage landscapes with materials like resin-infused paper, rusted objects, toys, fabric, wig hair and twigs. I show haunting, post-industrial dream vistas in colorful LED backlighting.

BFA,University of Colorado
Non-degree studies, School of Visual Arts, New York City
Non-degree studies, Digital Multimedia, City Colleges of Chicago
My career is freelancing in print, web and corporate presentations. Besides graphics, I make assemblage and diorama sculpture. During Fall - Spring semesters I tutor multimedia and web design at Harold Washington. I also freelance in digital illustration and graphic design. In summer I do my dioramas and exhibit regionally.
BFA is in painting; Previous studies in 2D art and computer graphics; self- taught with sculpture and LEDs/ "DIY engineering".
My first assemblage work led to making dioramas. Much of my work involves the challenge of installing, placing and adjusting the LEDs and securing other elements. I build my dioramas to be frontal, sturdy, strong and vibrant.
