When starting this project, I wanted to recreate my room. I knew it would be difficult since I would have to be working on Maya, I knew how much work and time it would take trying to build the vision I had. The hardest part of this project was adding the right image for the texture for each object I had. I had used UV mapping and lightning on the right objects.
I intentionally created the room a decent size because my old room used to be a small box that only my small bed was able to fit. I named this work based on a room you can walk, sleep, have a TV and feel comfortable being in.
For this project, I wanted to create someone drowning in the water. I had just learned about bifrost and goblin in Maya so I used that as well and combined them together. I got inspiration from The Flash which is why the goblin is dressed in red and yellow shoes. I had some trouble at first with how to make the goblin move where I wanted it but when adding the lighting and textures, it all came together.
When creating this vanity, I was going based on the vanity that I own. I knew when picking this as an object, it would be hard adding all the details my vanity has and what's on top. I started off with the chair and that was actually the hardest part for me. I had to use a lot of UV mapping, lighting and surfaces which included loft and revolve. I wanted to create a calm, safe place with how everything was placed.
