Artwork Statement:
Process: The book of 10,000 things, the book of all, contains 4 sections, 2500 drawings each: plants, stones, animals (including humans), and places.
The Piece: The book is a collection of perceptions, of the world, of being in the world. 
Artist Bio:
Jelena Berenc is a nationally exhibiting artist with a BFA and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Berenc joined the Art and Architecture department at City Colleges of Chicago in 2008.
Jelena Berenc's work has been exhibited nationwide including Evanston Art Center, Accelerator Art Space, Elon University, Union Galleries at the University of Wisconsin, Boston Center for the Arts, A.I.R. Gallery New York, SOFA Chicago, to mention a few. Jelena Berenc has been featured in Art in America, Visual Studies: A Skeptical Introduction by James Elkins, SOFA Chicago, etc.
She has given numerous lectures not only within Art community but scientific as well focusing on inclusion and outreach. Spesifically; Physics Fundamentals - Conversation on Excellence with Jim Gates at Brown University; STEM at UMass Amherst; Invited Lecturer in Roberto Zenit's Art Fluid Engineering Class, Brown University; APS Conferences (CUWiP),; Chicago Art Collective of Iranian scholars; etc.
