Sphere made from speckled green lights against a black background
Anneli Goeller, planet orb 0209, 3D Digital Print, 15.5 x 27.5 in, 2023
Artwork Statement:
This work is part of a series of snapshots of a simulated world where the natural and the artificial are merged. Environments are made up of nostalgic web imagery that is created using hyper real computer graphics technology. In this universe, liquids glow, planets morph, and signs of life are unverifiable. There are aspects of these spaces, objects, and bodies of water that provide fleeting moments of connection and recognition, but ultimately, they are unfamiliar to us.
